Ellie Tries Things emerged out of desperation: I had no idea how to start writing a dissertation, and so instead I dove into gluten-free sourdough bread making, as it seemed a productive use of my time as I walked around the house trying to break through my panic about being in year seven of a doctoral program with not a single word to show for it.
Fast forward four years: I eventually made some pretty decent sourdough loaves, I wrote (and defended) my dissertation, I became a parent and am just about through the haze of the first few years. In the past six months or so, I’ve discovered some new interests that I have followed pretty avidly: budgeting and sapphic romance. I look forward to seeing where else this will take me. Thanks for joining me!
